Let’s Book Travel is a travel agency and a tour operator, based in Greece, licensed by the Greek National Tourism Organisation. Our GNTO licence is 0829Ε70000103201, and our company registration number is 143378233000. As regulated by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 13 of Regulation EU 2016/679, we ensure that your personal data are safe and your credit card details are protected since we do not store any data and all payments are handled directly by the payment institutions we use.  

Customers acknowledge that our company, in making arrangements for tours or ferry tickets, shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident or delay of provided services. Furthermore, our company accepts no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, government restrains, acts of war and terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond our control. Although we make all possible efforts to maintain normal operation, we reserve the right to cancel an operation for any of the above reasons or due to limited participation, and in the unlikely case that a booked service will not be operated, we will contact the customers to arrange the service on the closest available date or offer them a full refund. No other compensation will be provided.        

The credit card used for the payment must always belong to one of the passengers. In case the credit card of a third person is used, we will ask for the ID proof of the cardholder, a copy of the credit card (with some digits and secutiry code covered) and a written confirmation that the cardholder accepts the charge. Our company is entitled to require users to provide any personal data and information (e.g. copy of an ID card or passport or driving license, certificate of home address, etc), when this is considered necessary in order to prevent fraud transactions and to secure that the user of our services is the legal owner of the credit card used. These personal data are used only for security reasons and in case of transaction disputes. We will never use your personal data for any malicious reasons. Our company reserves the right to cancel any booking if the user fails to provide the requested documentation within the time frame required.

Tours Term and Conditions

Reception of confirmation – voucher:

Vouchers will be provided for each booking and will indicate all the information concerning the booking of the service. All information regarding travellers should be correctly given at the time of booking by the person that is making the booking, so they can receive the confirmation or voucher of the product booked.

We cannot be held responsible for any problem that may occur if the customer doesn’t receive or read carefully the information on the voucher and/or confirmation. In all booking arrangements, the person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted the booking conditions on behalf of all the persons named in the booking.          

 

Modifications – Amendments:

All requests for modifications/amendments must be directed to our Reservations Department who will implement the request and inform the client accordingly. Please note that a modification is considered completed only once the modification confirmation is sent from our team.          

 

Cancellations – Refunds:

Prior to Departure – Please refer to the cancellation fees listed below. All requests for cancellations must be directed to our Reservations Department who will implement the request and inform the client accordingly.

A cancellation is considered completed only once the cancellation confirmation is sent from our team. If you are entitled to a refund according to the cancellation policy, then the refund will be processed the same working day and you will receive the cancellation confirmation. Please note that it my take 1-3 business days for the funds to become available to your account.

After Departure – No refunds are available once a tour departure date and time has passed.        

 

Cancellation Policy:

Cancelling a booking may result in cancellation fees being applied. Our company and our partners will charge cancellation fees as stated below. Additional fees may be levied by the individual supplier/operator above and beyond the fees outlined below. When cancelling the booking you will be notified via email or telephone of the total cancellation fees.

Cancellation fees for one day shared tours & transfers

  • For cancellations received up to 24 hours before departure, no cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received less than 24 hours before departure, there are 100% cancellation fees

Cancellation fees for multi day shared tours

  • For cancellations received up to 45 days before departure, 50 € cancellation fee applies
  • For cancellations received between 30 – 16 days before departure, there are 25% cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received between 15 – 8 days before departure, there are 75% cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received between 7 – 0 days before departure, there are 100% cancellation fees

Cancellation fees for one day private tours

  • For cancellations received up to 8 days before departure, no cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received between 7 days and 24 hours before departure, there are 50% cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received less than 24 hours before departure, there are 100% cancellation fees

Cancellation fees for multi day private tours

  • For cancellations received up to 45 days before departure, 50 € cancellation fee applies
  • For cancellations received between 30 – 16 days before departure, there are 25% cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received between 15 – 8 days before departure, there are 75% cancellation fees
  • For cancellations received between 7 – 0 days before departure, there are 100% cancellation fees
For multiday cruises, if a cancellation occurs, the following charges will apply:
  • 240 days to 120 days from embarkation: €150 Admistration fee (per booking)*
  • 119 to 90 days from embarkation 20% of the cruise fare
  • 89 to 60 days from embarkation 30% of the cruise fare
  • 59 to 30 days from embarkation 60% of the cruise fare
  • 29 to 00 days from embarkation 100% of the cruise fare

Please note that these are our company’s cancellation policies, however there might be different cancellation policies to some products if our suppliers have another policy, always make sure to check the cancellation policy of the tour you want to book.

 

Prices:

Prices are per person participating in the tour unless stated otherwise. Price quotations are subject to change without notice until a booking has been confirmed. Paying a booking means you will be charged in Euro (€) as quoted the web site. If for any reason the price quoted is not correct, our Customer Service team will contact you and will inform you on the correct price, giving you the option to pay the price difference or a full refund will be made. 

Not included in our tours or hotel accommodation bookings:

  • Any personal expenses
  • The Resilience Tax for overnights in hotels. The accommodation Resilience Tax is applicable to all forms of tourist accommodation, including hotels, rooms to let, villas and Airbnbs. Revenues from this charge will go into a specially created emergency fund for natural disasters.

    The Resilience Tax will be applied as follows:

    From March till October

    Hotels 1-2 * : 1,5 euros per room/per night
    Hotels 3* : 3,0 euros per room/per night
    Hotels 4* : 7,0 euros per room/per night
    Hotels 5* : 10,0 euros per room/per night
    Furnished Apartments| Studios: 1,5 euros per room/per night
    Self catering accommodation | Villas: 10,0 euros per room/per night

    From November till February
    Hotels 1-2 * : 0,5 euros per room/per night
    Hotels 3* : 1,5 euros per room/per night
    Hotels 4* : 3,0 euros per room/per night
    Hotels 5* : 4,0 euros per room/per night
    Furnished Apartments| Studios: 0,5 euros per room/per night
    Self catering accommodation | Villas: 4,0 euros per room/per night

    ** The relative tax is paid on the spot by the guest.**

Ferry tickets terms and conditions

In rare cases a small fee of 0.5 up to 1 euro per ticket may be charged by the representative agency of the ferry company for picking up prepaid tickets.

In no case will our company be held responsible for any charges which are result of a mistake or negligence of the user such as entering wrong trip details, dates, contact details etc. in the online ferry booking engine.   

 

Modifications – Amendments:

All requests for modifications/amendments must be directed to our Customer Service Department who will implement the request and inform the client accordingly. Please note that a modification is considered completed only once the modification confirmation is sent from our team.    

In case you wish to amend ferry tickets that have already been issued, there is a charge of 5.00 (€) euros per reservation and we must be notified in written form (via e-mail) at least 5 working days prior to departure date. The payment of 5.00 (€) euros must also be completed at least 5 working days before departure date and in case this is not possible for any technical reason, we should be notified in time in order to suggest an alternative solution. Our company will not be held responsible if the amendment is not completed due to receiving the payment too late or due to not being informed about the payment by email in time.

You can only amend tickets of a ferry company to another date of the same company and only if there is availability for the desired itinerary. You are able to amend the tickets also at any central office of the ferry company at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time.

In order for our company to proceed to an amendment we must hold at hand the original tickets. Our company is also not responsible if the amended tickets will not reach you on time due to any reason, such as delay in the courier service, lost tickets at hotel etc.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancelling ferry tickets may result in cancellation fees being applied. Our company and our partners will charge cancellation fees as stated below. When cancelling ferry tickets you will be notified via email or telephone of the total cancellation fees.

According to the policy of all ferry companies, in order to cancel ferry tickets, we must hold them at hand, as the tickets need to be returned to the ferry company in order to be refunded. Our company will not proceed to any cancellation or amendment without having the tickets. If tickets are sent back to our offices for cancellation, the amount refunded will be according to the cancellation policy of the ferry company on the day that we receive them. 

In case a passenger requests ticket cancellation and these tickets have been sent out by courier, then the courier fee is not refundable. In case the passenger requests a ticket cancellation, the service fee is not refundable. Additionally, a 5.00 (€) euro cancellation fee will be deducted from the refundable amount that the passenger is entitled to, according to the ferry company’s cancellation policy.

Cancellations and amendments can not be made over the phone. They need to be requested in written via email. We must be notified at least 5 working days prior to departure date otherwise we are not responsible if the cancellation/amendment is not possible due to lack of time.  

 

Cancelled itinerary:

In case of a cancelled itinerary, our company is not responsible for any further refund apart from the ferry ticket rate. This rate will be refunded only once we receive the unused tickets. In case the tickets are prepaid and have not been printed, the passenger has to inform our company via email in order to cancel the tickets. This is not done automatically.  

 

Loss of tickets:

In case of loss or destruction of the shipment containing the ferry tickets by fault of the courier company, the refund is only the cost of the shipment and not the total ticket value. This is according to the terms and conditions of the courier companies and no further refund will be made by our company.  

 

Delays:

In no case will our company be held responsible for any delays in the ferry schedules or in the case the customer does not like the services provided by the ferry company due to any reason. For such complaints and any claims due to such reasons the customer shall contact directly the ferry company.

Ferry Passenger Ticket Terms and Conditions

a. Passenger Ticket Terms and Conditions:

The ticket is personal, non-transferable and issued in the passenger’s name. It is valid only for the seat and the voyage for which it was issued.

Meals are not included in the fare.

Passengers should be in the embarkation area one (1) hour before departure.

Passengers who are not in time for sailing are not entitled to a refund.

Passengers who may cancel their tickets for any reason before sailing are entitled to a refund of half the ticket price.

Children of up to 4 years of age travel free and are not entitled to berths. Children between 4 and 10 years of age pay half fare and are entitled to berths. 

A holder of a full ticket is entitled to carry aboard luggage up to 40 kilograms or 0.5 m3 free of charge.

In case of loss, a ticket is not replaced and its fare is not refunded.

The ship-owning company is not responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage that is under the personal care of the passenger.

Jewelry, money and valuables may be handed to the Purser’s office for safekeeping.

The ship-owning company is not responsible for any delay, deviation and not following the scheduled course due to adverse weather conditions or on orders of the Greek Ministry of Mercantile Marine or of the Port Authorities, or due to force majeure.

Passengers are not permitted to carry explosive, flammable, incendiary and generally dangerous substances.

Passengers are responsible for observing Port, Health and Customs Regulations. 

Passengers should comply with the Master’s and Crew’s directions for mainting order and ensuring safety aboard.

During the voyage, all passnger complaints should be made to the ship’s Master or First Officer and, after the completion of the voyage, to the ship-owning company or the Port Authorities.

If, for any reason, the voyage is cancelled and such cancellation is due to the ship, the fare will be refunded with no further obligation on the part of the ship-owning company to the passenger.

The ship-owning company has the right (with approval of the Greek Ministry of Mercantile Marine) to replace the ship for which this ticket was issued with another ship. 

 

b. Terms and Conditions for Vehicle Transport Vouchers:

The driver is obliged to embark and disembark his/her vehicle.

Vehicles must be in the waiting area to be embarked one (1) hour before sailing and in any case at the time specified in the applicable Port Regulations. Drivers who are not in time for sailing are not entitled to a refund. 

Drivers who, before sailing, may make known that they do not intend to embark their vehicles are entitled to a refund of half the ticket price. 

In case of loss of the vehicle transport voucher, the fare is not refunded. 

Vehicle passengers are obliged to alight before are embarked aboard.

Passengers should have with them the items they may need during the voyage.

After departure, entry into the vehicle area is forbidden.

Passengers are not permitted to carry explosive, incendiary, flammable and generally dangerous substances. 

The order of priority for vehicle embarkation is determined in the Port Regulations of every Port Authority in the region of which the embarkation occurs.

The terms and Conditions above are not applicable to overseas voyages.

The above mentioned terms apply under the reservation of the implementation of Law 3709/2008 “Passengers and Transporters Rights and Obligations at Regular Maritime Transports and other provisions”.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Our website (hereby the “Site” or “Website”) is property of Let’s Book Travel. (“Let’s Book Travel”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). Let’s Book Travel is operating as a travel agency, and we collect and use personal data that the users provide to us.

By using our website and services, you understand and agree that we collect, use, and disclose your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We collect personal data directly from a user and we are acting under a ‘Legitimate Interest’ to legally process the data for the management of the provided travel services. We also act as a data controller and legally processes this data.

We collect and use your personal data for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes as described in this Privacy Policy and we do not process your personal data further in any manner that is incompatible with the above. We retain personal information for only as long as it is necessary to fulfill the stated purposes, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law.

The data we collect vary depending on the service and include

  • Name
  • Contact information
  • Personal information (home and/or mobile phone, email, address, gender, age)
  • Traveler booking and itinerary information (desired itinerary and/or route, desired trip date and hour, desired accommodation type, desired car rental type)
  • Travel documents (e.g. passport info, visa info, expiration dates)
  • Payment info (credit card info and /or bank institution info)
  • Chosen Login, user ID, chosen password (on our website), IP address and browsing information.
  • Other personal data supplied by our users via email/contact forms, telephone, Skype, Viber or through of any of our contact channels.

Furthermore, we use those data in order to

  • provide our services to customers or companies representing them (e.g. complete and manage travel reservations, assist in managing the travel, provide reporting, provide notice about your account and the services, inform you about updates to our websites and applications and other changes to our products or services).
  • communicate with our customers, by email, post, and phone or via our website and to provide you with customer service
  • understand how our website is used and provide a customized experience for our services.
  • fulfill a request made by our customers (e.g. reporting, questions, or other requests about your personal data).

If a user submits any personal data related to other people in connection with the services (e.g. if you make a reservation for another individual), you represent that you have the authority to do so and we will collect, use, and disclose such personal data likewise.

Cookies & Embedded content from other websites

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

  • Other third parties as we believe is reasonably necessary in accordance with applicable laws, including laws outside your country of residence to: (i) satisfy laws, regulations, or governmental or legal requests and processes; (ii) identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our terms of use or policies or otherwise enforce our terms and policies; (iii) operate our services properly; or (iv) protect including pursuing available remedies or to limit damages that may be sustained (e.g. exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and risk reduction)
  • The company might be acquired, merged with another business, sold, or liquidate its assets, acquire, or buy other businesses or assets. What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. In order to protect your personal data, we kindly ask you to not send us credit card information or other similar personal data to us via email. Please alert us immediately if you believe any of your personal data has been misused. Please note, we will never ask you to disclose your credit card information in an unsolicited phone call or email.

The data collected will only be those specifically required to fulfill travel, accommodation, or other travel-related services. Such data will only be processed for that purpose.

Personal data shall only be retained for as long as it is required to fulfill contractual requirements, or to provide statistics.

Personal data shall be adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are collected and/or processed. Personal Data shall only be processed based on the legal basis except where such interests are overridden by the fundamental rights and freedoms of the user which will always take precedent. If the user has provided specific additional consent to the processing, then such consent may be withdrawn at any time (but may then result in an inability to fulfill travel requirements).
